First, I’d like to thank Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for being our gracious host for Tablescape Thursday. If you didn’t get here from there, please be sure to click on the link and see her tablescape and then go on and look at the others that are participating this week!
Unlike last week when I couldn’t find a table to use for a tablescape, the dealers have come through (again) and I had several to choose from. What caught my eye this week was a table set up in JO’s space just about ready to go, as-is. JO, like so many of our dealers, presents her merchandise beautifully, so very little enhancement was required. VON assisted me in adding a centerpiece and straightening the background. So, here we go…
This week’s table transitions quickly from an afternoon brunch right into a game table.
The dishes are by HomeTrends in the “Jazz” pattern. This earthy striped patterned set is placed on bamboo placemats surrounding a small topiary tree and a chess board. In the background you can see a coordinating woven screen and rustic ladder. And you’ve got to love that old pottery jug!
Stripped Dishes: $12.00/set (JO)
Bamboo Placemats: $7.95/4 (JO)
Topiary Greenery: $14.95 (VON)
Ecuador Game Set: $24.00 (JO)
Oak Pedestal Table with 4 Chairs: $199.00 (JO)
Let’s take a closer look at those dishes:
Dinner Plate
All together they make a nice, casual tablescape:
Here’s a little better look at the background pieces: Black and Woven Screen: $59.00 (JO)
Rustic Ladder: $39.00 (JO)
Stoneware Pitcher: $59.00 (JO)
With a beaded chandelier, why of course! $195.00 (RPR)
